1. Our Data Protection Principle

The protection and security of your personal data is of paramount importance to Straumann and its service providers (“Straumann”). The use of your personal data at Straumann is in strict compliance with data protection regulations in order to make you feel secure with us in matters of data protection.

a. Contact Request
We use your Personal Data exclusively to process your request to get in contact with you.

b. Registration for the Online Shop and Online Orders
Without your explicit consent we only use your Personal Data only to carry out the registration and to process your order.
Only dental practices and dental laboratories can carry out orders and registrations.

c. Online and Offline Advertising
Only with your express consent will we send you client satisfaction surveys, information about Straumann products and events, and the Straumann newsletter per email.

If, through your online registration or order, you provide us with additional consent we will also use your online information for customer analysis, contests and written mail advertising.

Information that we have collected outside of the Internet will be used for the purposes of processing your orders and requests, for customer analysis, contests and written mail advertising without any additional consent from you. For these purposes, your details may be submitted to Institut Straumann AG, Peter Merian-Weg 12, 4052 Basel (Switzerland), and its affiliated companies or service providers. Our customers will also be informed about our products, services as well as customer satisfaction surveys and events by phone.

d. Right to Object to Advertising
You can object at any time to the use of your Personal Data for advertising or market research purposes. You may also withdraw your consent at any time. e. Online Applications
When you apply online for a job opening, training opportunity or internship with us, your information is used for the sole purpose of processing your application. As soon as your data is no longer needed it is deleted or destroyed, as the case may be.

f. Sale of Personal Information

Straumann does not and will not sell your personal information.

g. Right to Know and Right to Deletion (California Residents)

You have the right to request that Straumann disclose what Personal Information is collected, used and disclosed.  You further have the right to request that Straumann delete your Personal Information collected or maintained by Straumann. In order to comply with a request for information or deletion and  verify the identity of the requester, Straumann may  require the requester to verify up to 3 pieces of Personal Information maintained by Straumann.  To request data on Personal Information collected, used or disclosed or to request a deletion of your Personal Information contact Straumann at datainquires.us@straumann.com.    

3. Cookies and Web Tracking

a. Cookies
"Cookies" are used in some areas to make our website user-friendly and to customize it to fit your needs in an optimal way. "Cookies" are small text files stored locally on the hard drive of your computer. They are there to keep available information for retrieval at a later time in order to facilitate the use of our online services. When your visit is over and you close the browser you were using cookies are deleted automatically.

b. Web Tracking
When using our website, we also use cookies to allow for the analysis of your use of the website (web tracking). Cookies-generated information concerning your use of the website is transmitted to and stored on one of Google's servers in the US.

However, by activation of the IP anonymization on this website your IP address will be abbreviated beforehand by Google within Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the complete IP address transmitted to a Google server in the US and abbreviated there.
